prob your credit score is too low and/or you don't have enough for a down payment or are trying to qualify for too high a mortgage

Seriously though, mortgages right now are most likely very tight about who they allow, due to the recent subprime fiasco.
Lenders look at two things mostly. How much you owe or pay out each month, and how much you take in. Then they use the net figure of those two amounts and see if the mortgage payment is within a certain percentage of that net figure. If it looks like the mortgage payment is too high a percentage, then they won't loan you the money. The only thing you could do then is to put more money down on the house to get the monthly payment to be a lower percentage.

Bad credit
Not enough credit
Not enough income
Bank account balance average is too low
Too much outstanding debt
Changed job fields too often
Not a valid citizenship
Those are what I could think of off the top of my head.

are you under 18
do you have poor credit
do you have little to put down
do you either have a bad job record or lowing paying jobs
do you have a lot of outstanding debt
any of these could knock you out!!!
