Our ports and borders, no doubt about it.

Nonsense! By making war with other nations and bring war to their shores, we are endangering our own nation. George Bush is NOT protecting our nation, he IS making our world a more dangerous place in which to live. He is a mad man!

This war is illegal and wrong. Our troops should immediately withdraw. Such would be the legal and correct thing to do. An immediate withdrawal!

We should have a brokered accord between nations, which would halt terrorism and prevent Iraq from going into a greater civil war.

BUSH DOESN'T WANT TO TELL YOU THESE THINGS

as he feels that an admission of guilt will mean his indictment and prison term for all that he and his administration has done!

This is the solution to ending the Iraq War.

It seems as if crooked people will never do the right things and you should get rid of the lot through legal means...indictments for high crimes and treason!

By making an example of them, future politicians will be afraid to try the same stunt ever again!

FIRST EDIT:

~m&m~ is right.
libsticker has a valid point.
truthhurts is right.
Freedom for All is right.

But, do you think that people (our nation) will follow and do what is right? The Vietnam War ended, due to civil unrest in our own nation and due to our own people violating the laws to get public awareness and to get our politicians to eventually capitulate! Otherwise, changes in our "democratic" government might not have happened!

libsticker is wrong though. If we commit an atrocity and killed two million people, in total, violating the laws, because we suspected that Saddam had WMD, but we had no evidence of such.

What should we do upon a finding that we were guilty of intentionally committing atrocities and that we had killed two million faultless and blameless people?

Should we continue this war and kill more people (freedom fighters) as these people are fighting for their freedoms and nation against an illegal aggressor?

Should President Bush lie and say, "I am doing this to protect our nation!"?

Star me and how about lots of thumbs up!

The National Guard should be in the States to help in case of emergencies. It's pretty obvious that they are needed and missed. The Corp of Engineers needs a boost too. However, we'd have to bring every single troop home from every region of the world, in addition to a draft, even then we might not be able to cover every inch of our borders. I'm talking Canada, Mexico and the West, East and Gulf Coast. If you look at the situation realistically, there just aren't enough people to cover it all. Have you ever once thought about why immigration happens and what you can do about it? That's a more reasonable (and intellectually more difficult) question to be asking yourself in my opinion.

I could be wrong, But I think it is against the law to deploy federal troops within individual states.

Bothm obviously.
There is no such thing as a perfect defense. No matter how hard you try, any defense will eventually be penetrated, history proves it. So, obviously, the best thing to do is be on offense and defense both. Secure our borders as best we can, but also attack our enemies on their turf before they have a chance to get to our borders.

The obvious answer is in Iraq. Unless you want urban warfare in your neighborhood. It really does a number on lawns, not to mention that the local park would have mines and booby-traps in it. Then you got that whole loss of electrical power, water, sewage and transportation thing. No, I think it is best to conduct war on somebody Else's border than our own.

Why not just jail the Americans hiring the illegals. That is the reason they are coming here in the numbers they are because they can get hired here.
