Canon, different skin color does not equal different race. If that were true than dark-skinned blacks would be different races than light-skinned blacks and dark-skinned whites would be different races than light-skinned whites. I'd like a link to this "evidence."

Just to clarify, I'm not saying that there are not differences. I am saying that I don't think these differences amount to "different races."

No, I don't believe in race. It's all genetics - humans evolved in "isolated" populations for so long, that we responded to our environment and to sexual selection (what those particular people found attractive) over time. So today we see those different appearances as "race." But it's such a gross overgeneralization, and does nothing to describe who the person is. For example, the "white race" encompasses all European nations, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, etc. What do all of those cultures have in common? They're so diverse, and there's still fighting and hatred between some of them. Same with the "black race" - there's so much diversity between the different countries in Africa, not to mention African-Americans and everyone else that gets included. It seems so pointless to make those categorizations, it tells us nothing.

It is the concept of tribal environment. Race is partition at a genetic level and only means that people who come from a certain part of the world (originally) band together as a 'class'. But now with communication so fast and modern transportation would it not be best if all humans become one race. It may have started because of all the mixed marriages of all ethnicity's.

I don't. I know better than that.

The differences that we like to associate with race are actually a result of environmental factors that manifest themselves as biological differences. Scientists know that the only real race is the human race.

There is only one "species" of human and that is homo sapien.

i don't. i wish everyone had the same outlook as me. we all are the same race in a sense because we are all of the human race. it is ignorant to divide us up because one person has slanted eyes and the other is dark skinned. People need to look beyond color and characteristics and see everyone as a person and not a color. we all have the same capabilites and need to view the world without grouping people.

Because different races exist. There is genetic evidence to show that physical differences in people occur as a result of race, e.g. skin colour.

I don't "believe" in it. That is like saying "I believe in chairs." There are different races. Its a fact. It is just a matter of realizing that because people are different they are not superior or in-superior to one another.

I believe in the HUMAN RACE! (even if that faith is misguided!)
I think you are probably referring to ethnicity; though!

I think that knowing one's culture is important. ROOTS! Know where you came from, sorta thing.

I think that people who use this to pre-judge others; are wrong and ignorant!
I am an equal oportunist when it comes to prejudice... I hate all stupid people equally; regardless of "race"!!! I wish more people felt the same!

If we all believed the same thing,.. then their would be a limited perception witch would limit progress from comparison.

But that's a mute point since science and government schools have gotten into the, "brainwashing by limiting perspective" routine.

i don't. my mom always told me "color only matters in a box of crayons".i truly believe that a person should be judged by the content of their character and NOT the color of their skin.
