When this error message occur. When log on to the windows os or some games or software. If this occurs before logon to os reboot the system and get it into the safe mode there in desktop choose the properties by right click and it that change screen area which is suitable to your monitor. Normally this error occurs old type analog and digital monitors.

2. Suppose this error occurs when opening some games or software then check the graphic card whether it supports the video mode what the software required if not change graphic card.

3. Suppose this error occurs even after above two check point then connect good working monitor with the problem pc if the monitor functions good then check the video mode in the monitor menu (i.e) simple setup system which inbuilt in front of the monitor or either side of some monitors.

If you failed all this check points then monitor got problem take it to the monitor servicer.
