I think the lie is already sold... for alot of people... though i'm not one of them.

for example, it's very easy to hype a media story about weapons moving accross the border from Iran to Iraq, and elude to Iranian government involvement..... however, anyone with half a brain should realize that they are talking about small arms, not surface to air missles, and that's a big difference when you're trying to build a case for war. Many people think a few hundred AK's going from Iran to Iraq, is conclusive evidence that the Iranian's are helping to kill our soldiers... The fact is, these types of small arms exchanges have always occurred even before the war....that's business as usual. These are individuals smuggling small arms for the increased demand by the insurgency....and nothing exists to suggest that there is a state sponsorship of the insurgency.

Our foreign policy is to prevent as many countries as possible from having access to nuclear energy, which could lead to the production of weapons...like ours.

If our government is allowed to lie to protect the national security, then they don't need to sell anything. The product was bought already; and what they need to do is come with the story for the history books. If people buy those or not is not in their interest and those who don't agree with the books even with proof, they'll be called conspiracy theorist.

right up until the time one of their nukes explode in an American city. Then you will be whining that the Government "elites"didn't do enough to stop the Iranians.

And who, sir, do you consider "the elite"? Another class warfare question? Or is it Lib vs Con question? Or just another "Bash Bush" question? By the way, the little wack-job in Iran would have your head pretty quick! (They don't like Liberals over there, don't you know)

So there is NOTHING wrong with their hatred of the US and their nuclear weapons program?

C'mon....you must have served under Klinton to be this oblivious to the facts! After all Osama was no threat either was he? The first bombing of the Trade Center was an accident right? So was the USS Cole and the US embassies?

Time to open your eyes and stop dreaming!

You liberals will say anything to promote terrorism, won't you?

I don't know. How long did it take for you to buy the lie that Iran is not a threat?

i simply cannot understand why anyone would believe iran is a threat to our national security. after all, their leader is on record stating his country's desire to "wipe isreal off the map and to annihilate western civilization" while cultivating a nuclear weapons program that would do just that...doesn't sound like much of a threat to me...i say we just ignore him until he goes away. sound good to you?

funny thing is... they'll never sell it to the Citizens of the U.S. on the whole, we're not stupid enough to believe it.

but since when has George W. Bush cared about what Americans want or need?

He'll do whatever he wants whenever he wants.... if Iran is included in those plans... watch out Iran.
