They did earlier this season, but haven't since. It's old news, but they are still the butt of all the cheating jokes.

Ask your friend if any team in the history of the NFL has been scrutinized as closely as the Patriots are being watched right now by the NFL, the staffs of the other teams, sports analysts, fans, etc.

If the Patriots were cheating, they'd need to be master magicians to cover it up with this much scrutiny. They obviously aren't cheating.

Your friend is probably a disgruntled Colts fan who is looking for an excuse as to why no one can beat the Pats. Truth is, they are damn good. There is too much talent in the receiving corps and Brady is a damn good QB. They are vulnerable as the Eagles showed Sunday night, but the only team I feel has a legitmate shot at beating the Pats are the Steelers. Of course I doubt they will win since the game will be played in Foxboro. I'm not being biased in any way. I'm not a fan of New England either. Fact is, ever since the camera spying incident, the Patriots have used that as fuel for their style of play and in the process have decimated the opposition. Also, considering the division they play in (I mean really who in there can compete with New England?) I would expect them to be pretty good if I had to play those weak teams six times in the season.

I've wondered about this myself, given the huge numbers they have put up, how easy they make it look, and how announcers always talk about how they always seem to know where the defenders are going to be.

If I were commissioner I would look into the headset radio situation. If I drink one too many Guinness and go into conspiracy mode I wonder if one of the reasons opponent headsets have had problems is that there is a 2nd carrier in use providing information about the defense after the 15 sec cutoff.

Well they did get a touchdown that clearly wasn't good, and those three interceptions right to Patriots defenders were quite obvious.

The New England Patriots* were caught earlier this season breaking clearly written rules regarding video taping of opposing coaches. The head coach was fined $500,000, the owner was fined $250,000 and the team had one draft pick forfeited from next year's draft. Their starting Safety was suspended for 4 games at the beginning of the season for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

To this point, no further sanctions have been levied against the organization or it's coaching staff. But considering their recent history, it seems it is only a matter of time.

i think they are because there is no way that you can win 11 games straight in the NFL today
plus they cheated in the superbowl and won and i think that superbowl should have been taken from them

Here we go again. They got caught while other teams are probably still doing it. They are probably under very close scrutiny, so I doubt it.

"Are" the Patriots cheating...

I doubt they are cheating but they still suck. Who goes for it on forth down leading by three touchdowns in the second quarter with less then two minutes left. No one with class.
