I don't even go on a site or anything.
I have wireless. For example:
I'm using paint or itunes, which is not online.
Then all of a sudden an ad pops up like
all the time now! I know pop ups when you go
on a bad site but this is different! Like
somehow they hacked on my laptop or something!
This is so bad ! I really don't want to download
anything I just want this to stop !

Upgrade your Internet Explorer. It has a built in pop up blocker which allows you to decide which sites you want to receive popups from! Go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/ie/default.mspx

Turn on your browser pop-up blocker. Then get the programs below to deal with your issue.

Update and run your Anti-Virus program. Don't have one? You can run a free online scan from CA.

Run Spybot and SuperAntiSpyware weekly.

Download, update and run Spybot---http://www.safer-networking.org/...... . Don't forget to use the Immunize feature.

Download, update and run SuperAntiSpyware---http://www.snapfiles.com/get/SuperAntiSpyware.html

Now to prevent spyware from being installed in the first place....

Download SpywareBlaster---http://majorgeeks.com/download2859.html...
SpywareBlaster doesn't scan and clean for spyware - it prevents it from ever being installed.

It's main features include:
- Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
- Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
- Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.

1: Clean your laptop: I recommend downloading, installing, and running the following

--Any good Anti-Virus software (I recommend AVG - they have a free version at http://free.grisoft.com )

--Ad Aware, found at http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ This is also free for individual use

--Spybot, found at http://www.safer-networking.org/ Despite it's name, it is an excellent tool that is easy to use which works very well in conjunction with AdAware. Also free.

2: Download and install Firefox ( http://www.mozilla.com ) This excellent browser will block popups.
