I like the nickname Beany. I'll take bets that whoever gave that nickname used to watch the 'Beany and Cecil' show on television, and saw something about the child that was like the character Beany and they gave it 'in love.' It's a cute nickname.

Various reasons for this... could be 'cos that person is a fast runner, or from the phrase 'string bean', the derivation is tall and lanky. More likely it's London Cockney rhyming-slang for 'beany hat', meaning Matt, or Cat!

My friend had an injury to her head and the bandage looked like a beanie so her mom called her beanie weanie. Or maybe they pass gas a lot.

we use the term beany in the islands to mean young or small attractive female. I don't know what it means else where.

Well, anyway, there are a lot of weird nick-names, like my sister said that this guy in her class randomely started calling this other guy, ok i don't remember the name but it was stupid- yet cool, like THE coolest nick-name EVER. My nick-name that NO ONE uses is Chinchilla Girl, because i love chinchillas, they are SO cute.
Beany might just be a randome name, i don't think it's that weird though.

Why do people have half the nick names they do. mostly because other people call them that because it reminds them of that person or they do something ot act a certain way. no nicknames make sense until you know the true meaning behind them!
