Because you will stay true to yourself and not have to lie. Lying and not having to hold things can be stressful. Even if the truth hurts its better to say it than not. Therefore you will not have to deceive any1 including yourself.

truth what is truth, If I could unlock my heart and open the gates and break down the walls then I may let the truth flow free, i would let my tears flow and my pain shape the rushing river of tears and that would be my truth but in the end I deny myself that truth. A pain that I'm not willing to let free, that is my truth , how sad isn't it?

The truth gets you to where you don't have to lie to make up for lies that you already told.

If something is preying on your conscience and you tell someone, do you not feel like you have been set 'free'?

When you hold back the truth, it weighs down on your heart and leaves you with a burden. When you tell the truth and let it out, you're free of the guilt or remorse that you were feeling before. Does that make sense?

One lie turns into 2,,2 into 3,,etc
Tell the truth and get it over with. It may hurt at the beginning,,but well worth it.

just by saying it and knowing it by Heart.... that what you said was surely the truth .

sometimes if you have witnesses it helps alot to be proved that what you said was the truth , and just that sets you free.
