1. 70% Of russians approve of his strong russia stand up to the west style of leadership

2. He put the oligarchs in their place by jailing russias richest man for 8 years for stealing state assets through buying them at knock down prices through bribery and corruption (and should have abramovich and the rest of them jailed)

3 Puts a simpleton like bush in his place by letting him know that he will deal with the iranians regardless how unpleasant they are. With the US bogged down in an unwinable war in Iraq the russians have rode the resources boom while the US has lost direction.

These are the up sides if you are a russian, but when you witness the PC bullshit that has happened in the west in the last 40 years, who wouldnt want a bit of good old fascism to shut the whinging lefties up

well, i guess he is the greatest if there is a category for someone who is slowly and subtly returning his country back to communism and dictatorship rule.....anyone who can get behind a guy who jails his opponents, supports state sanctioned murder by radiation and otherwise silences his critics any way possible, deserves what happens when he gets total control of the country. while we may have an idiot here in office in the states, at least we can freely call him an idiot without having to worry about the CIA showing up at our door and killing us because we don't agree with him, and we can build our wealth and prosperity without having to worry about going to jail because we got that way......and when things go to hell because of the alliances he's forging today, who do you think he's going to come running to to bail him out of the mess he's made of the country? and when he helps iran get their nukes, do you really think they're going to spare the russian people when they don't convert islam? no, they're going to bomb their as*ses too......he's an idiot who is trying to solidify his stranglehold on power and trying to turn back the clock instead of advance his people's prosperity

Is your Yahoo username the worst? and what about the pathetic disaster of the Moscow theatre siege by Chechen rebels? or the Beslan disaster The Russian government treats it's citizens with absolute contempt.

And sending one of his agents to London to use polonium 210 to murder a Russian dissident is beyond belief. If I were Prime Minister of the UK I would have closed down the Russian Embassy, nothing but trouble you shitheads.
