What is the furthest distance on earth between two chunks of land whether it be an island or two continents?

between water

like the distance between North America and Europe. Australia would be a long distance to North America, but Asia is closer, so this wouldn't count.

from the coast of one body of land to another.....

in a strait line.

Say an island is 400 miles away from one island to the north....and 200 mile away from an island to the south.....if there is another island on the other side of the globe that dosent have any land within 300 feet, than it would win becuse despite the the other isalnd having 400 mile distance, it still is within 200 miles of land.

The island is called Millenium Island, known prior to the year 2000 as Caroline Island, in the island nation of Kiribati. Caroline Island is among the most remote islands on earth – 230 km (140 mi) from the closest land at Flint Island, 1500 km (930 mi) from the nearest permanent settlement on Kiritimati, 4200 km (2600 mi) from the Kiribati capital of Tarawa, and 5100 km (3200 mi) from the nearest continental land in North America.

One way of defining this is to ask what point on earth is located the furthest from land. There is a point in the Pacific that is multiple thousands of miles from the Americas, Asia, and Australia.
This article discusses several variations depending on whether you want to actually have something there or a city or just a spot.
