Not really although we won't actually know until then will we? I like to tell myself every day that the world will end on the following day. It makes me a better behaved person for today, and much happier to get up and go to work tomorrow.

No. According to Numerology, 2010 and 2013 are harmonious years.
Oops! That only applies to the

None of the ephemerides for those years show any astounding astrological or astronomical events, but those don't track comets or asteroids.

If you do a search on Discover, you will find that versions of this question are asked everyday. You seem to have the date wrong if you are picking up on the ending of the Mayan calendar.
