I'm 13 and going to be 14 in January and I have all the signs of puberty (hair, acne etc.) but I don't have my period yet. I've had discharge for nearly 2 years now and I'm only a 32 AA. I asked my mum when she got her first one and she said it was when she was 14 but when will I get mine??? All my friends have started. Oh and my discharge has been heavier and a bit smellier lately is something wrong with me?

No, there's nothing wrong with you. If your mom got it when she was 14, there's a good chance you will too. Even though you got all the other signs of puberty, you shouldn't worry too much about your period. I've been told that it may have to do with a girl's weight. For example, if a girl is heavier she'll get it sooner and if she's thinner, she'll get it later.

Speaking from experience, I was overweight and got it at 11 and my friend was skinny and didn't get hers will she was almost 16!

Either way, you shouldn't worry yourself too much about it. It doesn't make you any less of a girl.. err, woman. You'll get it eventually. Plus, there are some women that don't get it at all.

Also, don't mention having or not having a period to your friends. They might end up just teasing you for it. It's a private matter and not their beeswax.

And about the smell, it varies in "potency" from time to time. Just make sure you stay clean (don't use douche, it makes things worse). And if you're still not sure, go talk to your doctor (through your healthcare provider or nurse at school) and don't be afraid to use actual words for places instead of saying "down there."

Good luck.

You might get them at 16. If your getting your puberty and discharge you may start soon but don't worry if you don't everyone develops at different rates. The discharge might be smelly because your either about to start you periods OR you may have a infection which can be caused by either oral sex or sex or doing nothing. If you don't start in a month and your discharge is still smelly then go see your doctor and he might have solutions.

More than likely, you will start when your mom started. If your discharge is smelly, you might have an infection. Go see your doctor. Also, you cup size can be a 32 AA when you are 30 so that might not neccessarily change.

Talk to your Mom. You may need a check up with your Doctor to rule out any infections. Don't worry about being a late starter, most women hate getting their period. Once it starts, you have it for many, many, many, years. Also, you are still young you are still developing. Your bust size may increase when you start your period but... you may be just a tiny women. We come in all shapes and sizes. That's what makes us all unique.. Don't worry. You are still beautiful.

Some girls don't start their periods until they are 18-19 and some start really early! I don't imagine it'll be much longer until you start (then you'll be wishing you didn't!).

Discharge changes from day-to-day, it is anything from clear, white, runny, yellow...etc you need only be alarmed if it changes colour drastically (a dark yellow, greenish colour), it's texture becomes really thick and if it has a strong scent.

Then you would arrange to see your doctor as it may be a thrush or an infection.

Nothing is wrong with you, some are just late bloomers. The best thing would be for your mom to take you to a GYn for a check up to ease your mind. I started at 11, and I am 48 years and still having them..So ready for them to end!
Good luck sweetie!

dont worry about when you'll get your period just be ready (always have a few pads or tampons). i am 15 and i got my period a couple years ago. it sucks. as for the discharge, go to the doctor asap you may have a yeast infection or something.
just enjoy your time before you get your period because in order to not get your period after you get it you have to either get pregnant or wait about 40 years for menopause.
good luck
