how would i simplify this expression?

Cos2theta + 1/ costheta

i missed the lecture and didn't get the notes yet... but i still have to do the hwk =\

(cos2t+1) /cost

= (cos ^2 t-sin^2t+sin^2 t+cos^2t) / cost
=cost (2cost)/cost
=2cost
