it means that your hours or shift will change hours. Usually it is a set time frame whether it be weekly, monthly, per pay period, etc. You will switch working hour shifts with the other employees. you might be on the over night shift one month and then the next it might be the afternoon shift and so on

rotating shifte mean you will be working mostly the same hours but rotate every week or every other weekends including weekends off every two- three weeks
