I have been of b/c for 3 years and we have been ttc our first for 16 months. Sometimes it just takes time. Most couples take a year to conceive because you only have about a 25% chance of conceiving each cycle with well timed intercourse. But I know some women that were only off b/c a month or were still on b/c when they conceived. Try to relax and see what happens. Best wishes!!!!!!

I was on the pill for 2 years and after gong off the pill it took 7 months before I got pregnant. I was going through a little bit of a party streak (I'm 19 and had just gotten out of Basic Training) and when my boyfriend of 3 years and I gave up drinking I got pregnant 6 weeks later. Not sure if the drinking had anything to do with not concieving but my doctor said it could have.

Three and a half years and still no baby. But dont let that discourage you, it can happen very quickly or it can take time. It depends what kind of birth control method you were using. I would look into that, the pill can take up to a year and certain bc methods can take up to two years. Baby dust to us both!

I am having issues too. I got off the pill last spring and have been on prenatals since. We tried consistenly for about 4 months and am now taking a break. The key is to not try I guess, don't think about it. Make sure you try all the time in addition to the days you are ovulating. Remember that stress can cause you to not ovulate. It did that to me.

Let's see with my first husband I used no protection at all for years and never got pregnant, and with my second husband it only took one time!! All people are different I guess!!

Immediately. Literally. But I was counting days. We started having 'free' sex app 9 days after my period started until about the 20th day. And I was pregnant. This is what we did both times and both times it worked immediately.
Good luck - counting really works.
