Did you know the maker of most brushes on the market are the same? They may be created and distributed by Lancome or MAC....but they come from the same place!
Look for quality above all....you can FEEL quality in brushes.
MAC has great artistry tools- but the quality is not to par as some others. If you are looking for longevity you may find Laura Mercier nice, as well as Lancome, Shu Umera, and Shiseido.. Clarins has a great inexpensive kabuki brush.
Sonia Kashuk are not quality, to me. The Holiday season is the best time to get deals on brush sets. Most counters will have them!

The absolute best brush I have ever used is a "KABUKI" brush! It's big, full and soft and holds the minerals really good so application is easy. I believe it's made out of real camel hair. It's best used with the minerals foundations and blushes. I use Bare Minerals with my KUBUKI brush since it blends so well, no one can tell where your skin starts and your foundation ends! You can buy one in most of the department stores but the best place I found to get one is on Ebay! There's alot to choose from there and the prices are so much better than the department stores. Expect to pay anywhere from $8.00- $15.00 on Ebay for a good one.
I had to find out the hard way...I bought several different brushes and none compared to my Kabuki!
I hope this helps !!!

I have had a set of the Bee-Luscious brushes forever. It's been so long I don't even remember when I got them. But they still look and feel like brand new.
I had a set of the Kevyn Aucion's (my friend used to teach Hunter/Jumper lessons to his lover). So I got them at a discount. Then some idiot stole them from me!!! But anyway, that's old news, the brushes I got from Bee-Luscious seem to be just as good!

I have a mixture of Kevyn Aucoin, Shu, MAC, Stila and Chanel. I have tried Sonya K brushes and thought they were really good for the money.

Chanel makes the best brushes. My mom gave me a set 6years ago and they are still perfect. They are expensive but if you don't have to replace them it's worth the money. If you wash them once a week and let them dry brush side up they will work great for years.

No no and No! motives why is with the aid of the fact the brushes for paint have bristles that are made for paint and for paint in basic terms. in basic terms purchase make-up brushes, they do no longer look to be that costly.
