Put yourself in a salesman's shoes. Pick something that you can demonstrate and try to sell. I used a Rainbow Vacuum cleaner for my oral presentation. It went over so well that three of the people in the class actually went out and bought one.

If you want a funny topic you could choose the names celebrities give their kids, ask the audience for examples of strange/funny names they've heard. I got an A on this kind of speech in my college communications class.
