You should pour bleach into the drains once a week, let stand for at least 15 minutes. This will work. However, never ever use another product at the same time, esp.,ammonia based as this will produce a deadly gas.Use 1 cup first time,1/2 thereafter.

Pour 1/2 cup baking soda down the drain. Then add 1/2 - 1 cup white vinegar. Let it sit for about 30 minutes. Then pour hot water down the drain to flush it. This will loosen any gunk. Then use a hand auger to pull out the hair.

I wouldn't reccomend those commercial gel products. They are actually damaging to the pipes.

If you mean that you have hair blocking the drain pipe then if you can pull out the hair. I had success with some tweezers. It usually comes out like a big long knot. Then you can put a drain unblocker powder down the drain which also gets rid of any bad smells coming from it. Just go to a supermarket and buy some in your cleaning section. In future you can use a sieve that fits over the drain.

You can use a plunger; but there is a trick to using plungers on bath tubs and sinks.
Use masking tape to cover the overflow hole in the tub or sink. Once the overflow hole is air-tight, a plunger will work to loosen what is plugging the drain.
The reason people usually can't get results with a plunger is because the overflow hole, or drain, is letting the pressure escape when plungering.

first get a coathanger and bend one end into a small hook

i removed a hairball that resembled a large snake the other day

then pull it out

maybe next try the trap

maybe next a snake

maybe next some heavy duty drain stuff, from home depot, stronger than draino, get the kind for hair, and plunging

then call a plumber

Remove most of the hair out of the trap, and use Draino. Put a hair trap in the drain, so this doesn't happen next time, and regularly pour baking soda down the drain to keep it clear.

Get a wire coat hanger and straighten it out. Hopefully your pipes are strong enough to withstand you running it down the drain to try to pull the hair out. Also, you could try drain cleaner.

Drano! It does wonders I have the same issue. Another thing to help prevent is to get a flat drain cover, it looks like a flat strainer. Some hari stills gets through but not as much. Good luck!
