if i were you i'd compare it this way: what are the physical differences? how are they standing the same or differently? what are the materials used? same? different? what about style? polished? rough? then compare what are the meanings of the sculptures? what are they used for? same or different? how about size?? same or different? buddhist sculptures have tons of symbolism in all the different parts - does the african one have that? that should get you started.
