trying to go up stairs and the angle changes about half way up

Check through so many similar Q's here,,,and answers. On in particular is "Steve in NC" who turned me on to a TOOL so used.

Certainly with a TOOL to first determine the angles you can transfer them to a chop saw; then apply that to knowing that CROWN is basically a Multipl angel cut, and a FLIP; using even a Chop Saw.

There are literally HUNDREDS of sites more precise, using browser/ keyword search.

figure your angle then cut it in half and minus it from 90 what is left will be the angle that you cut on each piece. Example 140/2 =70 90-70=20
20 degrees is your cut.

Make a paper template of the angles and transfer that to the molding. A bevel square is useful to copy angles; hardware stores have them. A good saw is a must.
