Just start talking to people out of no where. I used to feel the same way when I first went to my new school. Some one would accept you that's probably just like you. Don't cry. Keep on trucking :-)

Ahhh, don't really care so much what others think of you. So what if you're hyper, it's a lot easier to make friends being outgoing like that than it is being shy, quiet and reserved. Be yourself and eventually you'll start attracting others who like your personality. You don't want to be or act a certain way that isn't really who you are, because then you might attract people who annoy you and have nothing in common with you and you would also come across as being fake. And no one wants to be friends with a fake person, right?
So just be yourself. Yeah, it's already been 4 months and you have more acquaintances than you do friends. So what. Be picky about who you are friends with. You want the best, and never settle for less than you deserve. ^_^

Just be yourself. People will start to notice you. Also look around I bet there are other 'newbies' feeling the same as you. One good way to make friends is to talk to other people who themselves 'look' lost. At lunch sit next to someone in the canteen and make small talk. Once you get the confidence to talk to people you will find that you may have similar tastes or experiences - and you will form a bond leading to friendship. Try to smile at people if they look at you (if you look upset then people are less likely to approach you). I'm sure you will make some good friends soon. Remember for friends its the quality not the quantity that matters. Good luck

Awww that's horrible. I changed schools one time and then everyone already has their own friends and you're left out in the cold!
I know what you could do, you could join some after school clubs. Or you could pick out a couple people who you'd like to be friends with and ask them for homework help.
It's tough to make friends. It's as tough when you're a kid as it is when you're a grown up!
Good luck sweetie!

The best way to get good friends is to be one. Just be a good friend to people consistently, and you'll end up surrounded by the kinds of people you want to be friends with. It's not about quantity, and it's not about belonging to groups. It's about having real, caring, open and respectful relationships with people you like for who they are and who like you back for the same reason. All the rest is just hype by insecure people who think the more people you surround yourself with, the more friends you have. NOT!

This may sound cliché to get a friend is to be a true friend to yourself and to others. Though, it’s not always easy to get a friend. Stop searching/stop looking for them, let them come to you! Be patient! I know its hard but just let the negative thoughts go away and try focusing how to be a better person you can be. People drawn to positive and genuine person. It’s the same idea for dating. Stop looking hard for love and let it come to you.
You may have to get involve outside of school too. Try volunteer, church, take up a new hobby like drawing, sports/recreational centres. Or get involve in your school too like clubs/sports/special interest! Best of luck to you!

If you're in highschool, you could always wait until 2nd semester. You just have to talk to people, show that you're friendly, and who cares about being hyper. Some people are more hyper/energenic, and those people make the friendships fun!

It's hard to make good friends in high school, but just hang in there. Once you get to college, there is no shortage of unique and odd characters that'll take right to you.
