tied to a string in the road. It had been run over. What do you think this means?

I was not looking for Psychic (don't believe in that either) I just saw that in the road and wondered "Why would there be a chicken foot with a string attached in the road". No chicken to be seen!!

I think someone had made soup and it fell out of their trash? Otherwise there is some old wives tale about a chicken foot, but I can't remember it...either way....ewwwwwwww....lol
found 2! burying a chicken foot in your back yard will keep you healthy (GO GET IT!)
The other one is....If you bury a chicken foot beneath your front porch your baby will have a lot of hair.....probably doesn't pertain...lol

Was the chicken run over or just the foot?
Maybe the chicken was trying to cross the road?

In the south people use chicken backs, feet all the parts with little to no meat to attract crabs. You place the parts in a crab trap or just a string to it and toss it in the water haul up the chicken periodically and pick off the crabs and drop in your bucket. You have to have water in the bucket as you must keep the crab alive till you cook it.

This is Santeria. When I was a little girl growing up in Miami, I would see dead animals in the middle of the road all the time. I am talking sheep, rooster, chicken, goats, etc.......... Thank GOD I moved thousands of miles away and never saw that evilness again.

I think this means that someone was pulling a prank somewhere or that the chicken didn't get to cross the road.

It means the chicken didn't live to cross the road. You better throw some salt over your shoulder to be safe.

It may mean that not all of the chicken made it to the other side so it serves as a warning to other chickens.

Now calm down people! This is not a sign of Voodoo or any of that stuff. Here in the Gulf area of Texas people buy chicken parts, tie a string on them and throw them into the water to catch crabs. It's simply called 'crabbing'. Yummy.
You catch the crab that is attached to the chicken with your net. Now if you don't live in an area where this is done......
Well my dear....you're on your own and I am outta here!!!!!
HELP!!!! HELP!!!! " Feet do yer thing!!!!!"
I'm only kidding here people. Kidding. lol lol lol
