Because they have two head to think with.
The one up top is usually empty. And the bottom head is always trying to get emptied.

It is called a "double standard"... and it is still here, as you say. It may not be fair, but it is a reality.
Men are seen as one type of person and women are seen as another type. What is OK for a man to do, is not OK for a woman to do.
Why? Because that's the way it has been since the beginning of civilization. Women can be stronger than men, and that is why many cultures still try to brainwash everybody and make them believe a man is superior. They are scared, IMO.
Societies are based on families, and it has always been that a woman has to sacrifice her life and interests for the sake and well-being of her family (husband and children).
That is why you see eyebrows get raised if a woman earns more than her husband, or if she works and he doesn't. Money means power, and usually the breadwinner makes the decisions.
I believe men and women were created as equals, and that they complement each other. If they can work as a team, great things can happen.

Its because men can't get away with murder unlike women do. Thats the reason they need excuses excuses excuses for every darn stage in their lives. Only goes to show you who's the more stable gender on this planet. Double standards don't work anymore unless you let it.

You're kidding, right?
I live in the land of the Stay-At-Home-Mom. I work out of the house and deal with the kids, so I have contact with SAHMs every day at school, at activities, carpools, you name it.
Over the past five years, I have had several pretty blatant offers. Their excuses?
"Well, I just wish my husband would pay attention to me." "I'm so bored in my life."
"I just need exictement."
"There has to be more to my life than this."
In other words, they sound just like men going through their mid-life crises. And, no, I've never taken up any of them on their offers. In fact, I've made it a point to tell my wife.

Because society allows it. If a man goes out and has a one night stand then hey give him a high five he scored and the woman if she was to say anything she would get looked down upon and called a slut. I think woman are getting veiwed more now as sexual beings and hopefully it changes.

I don't think society always gets it right. I think that's a good thing. In most cases, unless your life is plastered all over the media, as in the case of celebrities, I don't think it matters what society thinks, and I don't think society ever gets a chance to judge private citizens so it really doesn't matter what society finds acceptable or unacceptable.

I know isn't that some crap! But we do have an excuse well an excuse for bein a witch 1 week out of a month. The thing about it is women let them use these excuses. We shouldn't let them use them to get away with stuff they wouldn't let us get away with.
