Why do Democrats keep pushing gun control laws that don't work?

Look at the roots of the current Democratic Party ---It supported racial slavery from 1808 - 1865.
It fought the civil war amendments. 1865 - 1876
It created the Jim Crow Laws in the South. 1876 - 1963
t supported unionization of poor illiterate immigrants. In the early days it fought public education (school teachers were not in union
President Wilson re-segregated Washington DC. 1914
FDR 1st act was to confiscate the gold savings of immigrants and used children to report their parents hording jars to school teachers.
The DNC fought to keep Blacks out of War Industries during WW II.
FDR stoled vast amounts of Japanese property in 1942 --- Japanese-Americans were forced to sell all that they could not carry in 36 hours ---- Funny how the Democrats knew where these sales were going to be before the press.
FDR both promoted the growing of ditch weed and the jailing of Blacks who were brought North to harvest it, when they smoked it because they did not have the cash to buy heavily taxed tobacco.
The Democratic Party fought intergration of the Military until Truman as CiC just did it.
It fought women workers during WWI and WWII and it paid them less -- After the wars it demanded the Rosie the Riveter go back to the kitchen and get pregnant.
It fought the intergration of Northern cities and it created a welfare programs that was designed to destroy the bed rock of the Black culture --- the extend Family.
Every politician until Nixon in the Old South was a Democrat, Sen Byrd was a high official in the KKK.

It favored Russia and Communism during the 1940-1970 ---

The party has always been lead by elite families ---who believe that they know more then you do.

Personal firearms scared Democrats because they fear the people --- they want control.

You expect democrats to believe that firearms in individual hands prevent crime --- that would take far too many brain cells --- they cannot even admit that Social Security was FDR's way to get quick Cash to pay for his illegal programs NRA et al. FDR had a stern chat with Justices and told them to vote his way or he would have his one part controlled Congress add 4 more FDR votes.

Since Democrats control the pablum that is feed to school students --- it is unlikely that anyone will look at the history or will have been taught how to investigate other data sources.

I do not understand why with all the history of Democratic controlled oppression of Blacks --- This ethnic groups votes en banc for them. Despite all the vicious anti-Semitic acts by Democrats --- the liberal wings of Judaism votes for them?

Control is why. It is why Kennedy, Clinton, et. al. are pushing a total take over of your private medical records. You will not be even able to correct them: S 1693. HIPAA, FCRA all are intelligence databases designed to control the people.

Heaven help us all if anyone actually pushed gun control laws that actually DID work! They want to look like they're doing something about crime and murder, and that seems to be the least costly thing to do. It is actually about the least effective thing I can think of regarding crime prevention. Don't get me going here on another sensitive topic.

Politics, pure and simple. If you notice the gun control crap comes from coastal (east and west) reps and senators like Schumer, Fienstien, Waxman, etc. and is very much a minority view in the rest of the country and hence a losing issue for those misguided politicians that choose to exploit it.

This is "vote for me "' legislation. It may be a total waste of time and paper, but it gets their name in the newspaper and attempts to send a message to the voters that " I am your elected official and I'm working for you!" It earns them an "attaboy"
