OH!!! Now you've struck one of my MAJOR pet peeves... the substitution of "X" for "cross" and "Christ"!!!
I cannot STAND "xian" for Christian! Xmas for Christmas... even Xing for Crossing. AN "X" is and "X"... pronounced "EKS"... not CROSS or CHRIST. Even "RRX" for Railroad Crossing... it's rediculous.
For myself, it is an HONOR to be able to write the name of Christ, and to merely SUBSTITUTE an X for His name is, in my view, DISRESPECTFUL to the Lord of Life. I am PROUD to be a CHRISTian, and to know CHRIST, and to celebrate CHRISTmas. Shall we simply start saying in church, "X be with you"???? DUMB!!! STUPID!!! DISHONORING the name of the Lord!

I say both. I understand Christmas is about Christ but it's also my brothers birthday so meh...haha....We shall now call it Willmas.
I think it depends on if you're lazy or not, it's faster to put xmas.
Either way, now days how many people actually put Christmas and the birth of Jesus together? Not many, people just want presents, presents, presents and of course great food!

I was raised that you spelled it Christmas, and that Xmas was sacreligious. No exceptions.

I do sometimes but its just to my family so they dont care. I heard someone call Christmas lights..Holiday lights. WTH?!?!? That is wrong.
