He probably did a test when he did your pap (I think that's pretty standard everywhere), but ask him to be sure. It's not too late to get it done.
I noticed someone said there is no cure - that's not true. Both of those diseases can be cured with antibiotics.

Depending on what state you live in, they may be done automaticlly with the pap that you already had. I'm in MI and I know that's how it was here. Around 35-36 weeks, you should have a vaginal swab done for the Group B Strep infection. If you test positive for that, then you have to have anitbiotics during delivery. I don't know if it's too late to have the test done if it hasnt been done already, call up your dr and ask, that's why they make the big bucks!!! Good Luck!!

It's not too late. The problem is... if you turn up positive, there won't be a lot you can do about for yourself. They will give you some drugs, but there is no cure. As for your baby, you could op for a C section which would reduce the baby's risk.
Also, it isn't the doctor's responsibility to do these checks without a request or reason to (such as you've told him you've had multiple partners or unprotected sex).
But, yes, I'd get one done. And good luck.

You need to talk to your doctor because normally those tests are done at the beginning with other blood work. They may have been done and you didnt know!

NO, its not to late because whatever happens they can still give you antibiotics even at the hospital before the baby is born. Dont worry everything will be ok.

when you had your first OB visit they should have tested you for all stds including HPV and AIDS...I would ask your doctor if these tests were done and if not tell him you want them done before the baby is born.
