The game is hugely multifaceted; some basic knowledge can be obtained from http://www.worldofwarcraft.com

I've seen the original game (which you have to purchase) for $10 and Burning Crusade, the expansion pack (an optional purchase), for $30. The subscription fee is monthly, and it's right around $15. It depends on where you live (my state taxes it, so I pay $16.09, I think). You can pay via credit card or game cards which you buy in the store and insert the number online.

You play a character of your own choosing: one of eight different races (10 with the expansion pack) and one of nine different classes. You can cast magic spells or fight hand-to-hand or be assisted by a pet. Some classes can heal, others cannot. Once you create and name your character, you're taken into the world. You level based on experience, which is gathered each time you kill a monster or complete a quest. You start at level 1; level 60 is the highest you can get with the base game, but you can reach level 70 with the expansion pack.

You can have professions as well, which will assist you in making money and help you on your battles throughout the game. You can play by yourself or you can join up with friends to help you. You can even join a guild. You can also battle against other players or join large 40-person raids. They also have holiday events (Christmas is a fun time in the game).

What you do in the game is your choice. It's a lot of fun for most people, and the subscription fee is very reasonable. The best advice I can give is to start the 10 day free trial and see what you think. Over 9 million people already play and subscribe, making it the top subscription game (of all time, I believe, but definitely on the market today).

Its a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) You pay for the game as well as a monthly service charge to play the game. You can select a character from different types and builds. The point is to level your character up. I belive the highest level is 70 or 75 now. People even level their charcters up and sell them on ebay for money. Basicly, its a living online world of users who do different tasks and acquire items.

I have never played it. However, from what I here from my friends its highly addictive. I think it cost around $15.00 per month. Plus the game is around $39.99 retail (could be cheaper now) The game is like its own world inside the computer. You can buy and sell items. trade with people etc.

That south park episode was hilarious. There was a guitar hero episode on a few weeks ago that was really good too.

The actual disc is cheap, the subscription is your choice (for however long you want to play per month). It's a massive online multiplayer game in which you complete quests, compete with other players, sell, buy objects, magic. Basically Runescape but 1000x better. I saw that South Park episode lol, funny!
