So are means or the ends more significant? It really depends on what you are looking at. Was the holocaust a good means to the nazis ends? While not at all justifiable means, yes it was an effective means to their particualr end. In this case, the ends were significant because of the means, but I suppose when your ends are the eridacation of millions of people, there are no justifiable means, because the end is not justifiable. On the other hand, if your ends is to go grocery shopping and your means is with a list, money, and a cart, the means also justify the ends, where as shopping with an umbrella, a fiction book, and forigen currency won't be the best means, and your ends won't be very good.

Ultimately, ends (conclusions) and means (details) are intertwined. It depends on what you care about. If you care about the "bottom line" (the conclusions), or the methods through which you get to your ends (the details), then what you care about most will be most important.

I would say the details that lead to the conclusions.

I tend to get bogged down in the details, but I don't see how you can come to an honest conclusion without considering at least a few details.

DETAILS... there is no conclusion without details. How did you get a conclusion w/o them?

Definitely the details. I need to know how the conclusion was reached in order for me to fully understand it.
