I think if I tried to live up to everything in all those old sayings I would be wandering around in a daze mumbling about stuff no one would know what the hell I was talking about.

Some of those old sayings that I heard my parents say, I didn't understand the meaning until now. One in particular "less is more". I never understood what that meant until I am trying to downsize a lifetime of collecting.Plus, my Dad always told us "we reap what we sow".So, I guess we do live and learn, and I like alot of the old sayings.They have alot of truth in them!

If little children should be seen and not heard, I never would have learned how to talk.
If I respected all my elders, even bad examples would be ok.
If I didn't cry when being spanked, I would grow up with no emotions.
If I packed up all the food I didn't want to eat and sent it to the starving children in China, they would still be starving!

I would be crying over spilt milk. (I think that's the way spilled is spelled in that saying. Hey, spilled is spelled...that sounds kind of funny!)
