Yeah the BCS awards those who have a weak schedule. You don't even have to win your conference or play in the conference championship game. Nebraska played Miami in 2002 BCS Rose Bowl that year and Nebraska didn't even play in the conference champ game. I don't know how Georgia is rated ahead of LSU and Tennessee, that has me thoroughly confused. But if West Virginia and Missouri both lose we could be looking at Ohio St. #3 playing Georgia #4 for the BCS championship game. I don't know how Georgia with 2 losses is ranked higher then Kansas with 1. Again the BCS needs tweaking but what do you do. College football said no playoffs for the forseeable future while they have this BCS contract. We have to live with it for now, but bring on the playoffs.

I don't think you are required to win your conference to play in the national championship game. Remember last year, Michigan and Ohio St. almost played in a rematch. Michigan didn't win their conference and some teams, aka Notre Dame don't belong to a conference.

First: Joey - you are delusional. WVU will beat Pitt at Home unless they all show up with food poisoning or drunk. Come on. And OSU isn't going to leap frog WVU if they beat Pitt. Seriously.

But, unfortunately no. Georgia lost that chance with their 2 losses and as other people have mentioned...it can't be a team that doesn't win the SEC Championship. Sorry, but I think Georgia is great and it would be a very competitive game between two teams that have a lot of respect for each other...especially their coaches.

Gl to Georgia no matter what Bowl they go too this year.

No.

If Missouri loses to Oklahoma Ohio State will get propelled to the national championship.

Besides that, you are required to win your conference to participate in the national championship. This rule was put in when Oklahoma went to the national title without winning the big 12 like 4 years ago.

No. The SEC representative MUST come from the SEC championship game............which this year will be LSU or Tennessee.

Georgia is automatically 3rd/4th in the SEC now, and will get a lower level bowl game.

No there is no way that Georgia could leap frog OSU when neither of them have a game left to play.
