Thats about the sound of it...I think it has to do alot with people are not themselves when dating and then they end up selling themselves to their partner a story that just isn't true and then they get fed up with trying to keep up with the story they created and thats when everything falls apart.

Unfortunately when you marry too young I think that's what happens. As you get to know yourself you may not prefer who you've chosen because the grass is always greener I suppose.

I personally didn't marry until my 30s, so I was pretty darned sure of what I was getting by then! LOL

But you are right. I think often people end up disillusioned because their expectations were off right from the start or they were totally unprepared for the journey. But that doesn't have to mean failure. After all those years, you would think you would find common ground. Nothing is perfect after all.

Making it work takes some effort.

I don't think so. I don't think we really ever get to know each other fully in marriage. It is a constant learning experience. We sometimes get tired of the old to easily and want to move on to newer things. I know after I got married your outlook on what your attracted to can change. When you younger, it is looks. Now for me it is a man which is great with his kids and is kid oriented. Don't care about the looks.

It does seem that way sometimes, but he did marry me so I suppose if he wanted someone else he would leave me.
