My dad has called me ditzy, my ex's mom said I was ditzy, my friend says I'm his "cutest, ditziest" friend, and my boyfriend says I have ditzy tendencies. What's the difference between ditzy and dumb? Can someone be ditzy without being stupid?

***amanda... ive seen some of your other ?'s asked on yahoo and it seems to me that you need to really not worry about what other people think! learn who it is that you are and learn to accept yourself for you. remember you cant change too much about it, so you should learn to love it. if thats too hard, learn to tolerate it at the least.

Yes they can, but ditzy is a pretty... expressive and clear state of supposed stupidity. Anyway, most people think you're dumb because you act dumb, aka... ditzy. But at the same time you could in reality be smart, at least within... and not let people know it. Like a ******* spy, or ninja. Wow... you're awesome, I want to be a ninja. Anyway! If people are calling you a ditz... then you probably are, and if you have an issue with that, change it... don't be so ditzy. Pay attention to what you do... and if you want to chance, change... though shifting habits is one of the hardest things a human can do, so don't expect it to come easily, but it'll still come if you stick to it.

You can be ditzy and not stupid, however you are conveying an impression to everybody else that you are stupid. Is that how you want people to view you? If not, drop the act.

it jus means your a bit of a "blonde" it doesnt mean your dumb. you just do some things wrong or say something wrong that other ppl would consider common sense.
its funny. i get called it all the time.
some ppl are also considered it if thy constantly knock into things etc. like a bit of a clutz.
i was half asleep yesterday morning and walked straight into the bathroom door..lol i wanted to go the toilet but i wasnt expecting someone else to be in it at 3 in the morning..lol
and i work in an engineering company. dont worry about it!
