wow. very impressive. I think all but one answer was for a positive. My opinion is that society as a whole (perhaps older people) would frown upon it, but not speak outwardly about it.

well thanks for the answers, but it's only a matter of time before someone hits this question as inapprorpriate because this site (with Yahoo's help) is the most censored site I have ever seen! If you talk about race or religion, POOF your question is gone. You don't have to agree with me, but where's my right to free speech?

when i was a kid... some 35 years ago, it was very frowned upon, especially if there were kids involved as the result. today, it isn't as acceptable as ppl would like others to believe. People don't say it, but they frown upon it anyway. I am not opposed to it, but I personnaly would not date/ sleep with/ marry a black man. Why?? I was, ahem, violated, by one. If there is love, yippee, love is love. I guess love is not colorblind. So should we be?

It's as acceptable to me as it is to the people in the relationship... because that's who's opinion matters. I don't have a problem with any race, nor do I have a problem with interracial dating... it's about the PEOPLE... it's about love. It's not about how different they look or what other people think. To answer your other question, in my opinion there is no difference. I don't know if society accepts it and I don't care... because I think anyone who falls in love deserves to be together if they want to. End of story.

Perfectly acceptable.
There's no difference other than the lines people draw themselves, unfortunately.
What a society accepts all depends on how they've been raised.
It's more acceptable now than it would've been decades ago because more people have woken up and realized the color of one's skin is not an issue.

Yes. People are curious, naturally. We want to know what one partner sees in the other partner. This is more so in the case of two different ethnic groups. We're human. We have our prejudices, until we get to know the person in depth.
However, to act on your prejudices without checking with your conscience is NOT acceptable.
When a white woman is with a black man, or vice versa, people look-----normal. When you see a very tall man with a petite woman, you look-----normal. When you see two people, whether they're white, black or green acting lewdly and inappropriately in public, you should act with disdain because their action is NOT ACCEPTABLE.

race should not be a factor when it comes to love. i don't mind it at all. the only thing i do hate is when a white woman is with a black man for some reason a lot of them will start to act black instead of just being themselves and that can get annoying.

I think it is fine. I don't look at a person and judge them on their color. We all have different color tones. I think if the people are in love color shouldn't be an issue. I also believe that it has come into acceptance more in the past ten years but it will take some more time for everyone to accept it.

well im the result of a white woman being with a black man so I do think that its acceptable for two people of different races to date. Segregation ended a long time ago and thank God for that!

Perfectly acceptable for a white woman to date or marry a black man, same is true for white men and black women.
I don't really care what "society" finds acceptable.
