no one will rent an apt to you until you're at least 18 and of legal age to sign contracts and such - same with getting a credit card or car loan, or even your own cell phone acct

Some states are 16 years, but most are 18 years.

Legally 18 unlegally whenever you want. But you can always take it to court if you have a reason behind wanting to move out. If you are being neglected or abused you can take it to court and move out whenever.

at 18 years of age you are no longer a minor, and can move out of your legal guardians home.

It really depends on where you live. If you can be self-supporting and can prove it, you can possible get the court to declare you emancipated. Then you can move out.
