The latest attack on Romney's economic record smacks of desperation to me - With Huckabee becoming the media darling pre-Iowa; And Romney moving into a tie in South Carolina...

If Romney wins all 3 of the early voting states; Iowa, NH, SC - How can Giuliani recover from that? I know he thinks the 'Super Duper Tuesday' states will stick with him; But rarely does a candidate survive being completely blanked early. What do you all think of Giuliani's highly unorthodox strategy?

Watching the way he continually falls in the polls in the early voting states as the campaign progresses, I just can't shake the feeling that most Republican primary voters just can't bring themselves to vote for a multiply divorced social liberal; Electability be d-mned...

Everything is still too early.

As for Ron Paul? Only liberals are supporting him. Just look at this site and the poeple who are supporting Ron Paul. They would not even consider voting for antoher republican. They jump straight to Hilary or Obama.

Giuliani is still the front runner, but as a Republican I can tell you that I do not yet know who ZI am going to be voting for. I like all 4 of the top runners right now. Giuliani, Romney, Thompson, and Huckabee.

I would have a BIG problem voting for McCain. McCain Feingold is some of teh worst legislation ever passed into law. I believe it is one of the PRIMARY reasons politics have become so balkanized. The money is not longer in the hands of the parties, it is in the hands of the activists. Thus the parteis can no longer moderate their tones. To moderate your tone means you will not get money from activists.

Repeal McCain Feingold and politics will become much more civil again. My POV anyway...

Stick a fork in him he is done!!
The republican party is looking for a candidate that will help their badly damaged image due to the last administration. They will never nominate another candidate that has as much smut, mob connections and controversy as Giuliani already has exhibited.
Plus Hillary would eat him for breakfast and we all know that she will more than likely get the dem nomination.

Edit: Caldude I agree with your idea that Romney will appeal to the religious sect and Paul may be a big surprise. Don't forget about Thompson though, although Hillary may make mincemeat out of him too. I don't think Thompson thinks fast on his feet.

Rudy is too liberal for most mainstream Republicans. Huckabee's liberal roots are going to be exposed by his opponents soon.

Look for both to take a dive in the polls. Romney's religion is his achilles heel with the religious conservatives.

Look for McCain to make a comeback.

With all the money he is raising, Ron Paul may actually get a shot as well.

If you never lived in New York City, you have no idea what a horrible official Giuliani is. Anyone whose own children won't support him, who openly slept with a married woman while he was still married (and mayor) and who endorsed the likes of former police chief Bernard Klerik, recently indicted and on his way to jail, doesn't deserve your support. Forget about voting for Giuliani. Consider one of the other Republican candidates.

Guliani is too liberal compared to most republican bases. He will not get the nod. Huckabee is not a strong candidate. Ron Paul is rising and Mitt Romney is the front runner.

I was wondering about that myself. He openly committed adultry and does not get along with his adult children.
Then parades his new wife around like she has been his wife from the very beginning and not the mistress that broke up his marriage.

I agree...But before it's over there's going to be a fight between them all. Whoever comes out with the nomination will surely be limping... and with a divided party.
