"A" and "B"
My first impression when I saw the question without the choices is that the North gained confidence. They saw that Lee could be decisively beaten. Even at Antietam where Lee was severely outnumbered, the Confederates had fought McClellan to a standstill. Gettysburg helped morale tremendously in the North.

But it also ended the Confederate invasion of the North. The Southern army was pushed back to Virginia after Gettysburg.
This question is not worded very well - BUT - don't say that to your teacher.
"pushed the Confederacy from invading the North" is not clear. I'd bet your teacher wants this one as the answer if I had to pick just one.

As for C - Brianke is a year off. Gettysburg was July 1,2,3 in 1863. Lee surrendered April 9, 1865. So the war ended
about one year and 9 months after Gettysburg.

A and B both have merit, but A is the most correct choice. The fact that the Battle occurred in PENNSYLVANIA meant the Confederacy had already invaded the North, it was just stopped from moving further, like against New York City, or looping down south to capture DC in the event of a CSA victory.

I would have to say A. They did defend their own land and it did increase moral. Until that battle Lee was kicking their asses all over the south.

B? They didn't stop them from invading the North because the battle took place in the North.

C.They didn't end the war. In fact the war went on for another three years. If Meade had counter attacked after pickets charge he may have been able to end it, but that is a very controversial point.

ADDED - You are correct Spree ... Thank you I Fat fingered 3 instead of 2

B They successfully prevented Lee's second invasion of the North. They already defended their turf and increased their morale after the Battle of Antietam. The war did not end with Lee's surrender in 1865 - it came after.

A and B are both somewhat true.

The CSA's second invasion of the Union ended with failure at Gettysburg, a battle that happened by accident.

A is right because the Union held its ground and won a major morale victory.
B is true since that attempted invasion failed.
