Don't go crazy. I don't mean in all cases. I'm just saying if people can choose to be cremated when they die, is it acceptable for them to choose to be eaten? Like right after they die? I know it sounds gross, but, if they don't mind, what's the moral problem?

Butcher's meat has to be killed. If it dies naturally, the meat is unfit for human consumtion.

There seems to be a natural repulsion in most mammals to eating their own kind. I'm not sure if there is a good reason for this or not. Interestingly, chimps will eat the dead of their enemies after a war, but will not consume their own dead. Also many herd species and some humans will consume the afterbirth, this is a way of regaining lost nutrition and preventing predators from being attracted to the smell.
Morally, the only real problem with cannibalism is when you kill someone in order to eat them, otherwise it is just a health concern.

I don't see any moral dilemma here. If they want to be eaten by humans, and if there are humans that want to consume a dead human, then everyone's happy. Of course the family of the deceased will have something to say I'm sure, as always....never REALLY respecting the wishes of the dead.
It could be a traditional celebration! Maybe even hand out souvenirs - like a shrunken head!!!

cannibalism is just plain nasty. and eating dead people is horrible, it's not as if we're starving that we need to turn to eating humans.
