Heating pads help and ecedrine helps. Don't use, oh I can't think of the name of it right now, but it's the popular cramp medicine for girls that supposedly works wonders. It doesn't. All it is is tylenol and a bit of caffiene (it says it on the back). I've never had luck with it, try something more heavy duty like ecedrine. Also, try not to curl up, it gives your uteres more room to cramp. Try stretching out as much as possible, I've found that that helps. Also, a bit of a meditation thing is inhale and imagine that it's surrounding your uterus to make it feel better. On the exhale, imagine that you're exhaling all of the pain.

I think the best medication to take is an Ibuprofen like motrin or Advil. They act as muscle relaxants and used to be prescribed in much higher doses by doctors for muscle cramps before they became over the counter. Just becareful not to take too much. Read the directions. It's common to have strong cramps when you're younger because your cervix hasn't opened much and is quite small. So your uterus cramps up because it is having to expel its lining through such a small hole.

You poor thing. I had the same trouble at you're age and still do sometimes . I took Ibuprofen as soon as I felt the first cramp . You should probably check with your parents or doctor first ,but that's my suggestion. Also, keep away from caffeine during that time.

Heating pads work great to relax the muscles... Also, something like Pamprin works really well. I also find taking a nice hot bath works. Drink lots of water too. Doing deep, slow breathing works the same way as when women have babies... it calms your mind and lets your body relax. :)

Get a heating pad and put it on your stomach. You can get the heat pads that you can stick on your stomach but I've never tried it for my period. Take Pamprin or Midol, if you have it, just regular pain releavers if you don't. Take it easy if you can.
