the simpsons are hilarious but family guy is just stupid and.....dirty. they are crossing the line. simpsons is so much better (in my opinion).

simpsons are more family friendly...you need a certain humor to enjoy family guy...just because its a cartoon doesnt mean its for kids....not all south park episodes are very youth friendly either.....i thiink the problem people have with family guy is that its on a network like fox and not comedy central

There was a period of about 1-2 years that Family Guy was better than The Simpsons, but it's been Simpsons in a landslide ever since.

Simpson is brilliant and revolutionary. Family Guy is great, but they need to "cross the line" too frequently to stay edgy. It doesn't leave them as much breadth and material to draw on as the Simpsons. Also, Family Guy tends to miss the audience sometimes because I believe the writers are having too much fun (probably on drugs too--If you've seen this season) entertaining themselves to try to appeal on a universal level. Simpsons has so many characters and the benefit of 200 writers. Hard to compete with that. I like both and South Park and American Dad too of course.

I think they are both amazing shows, but for different reasons.
The Simpsons is more family-friendly and suitable for everyone. Anyone with a sense of humour can enjoy the Simpsons.
However, Family Guy isnt family friendly at all! I myself, find it hilarious, witty and different to everything else. I can understand why some people may find it offensive though - the sense of humour within the show is very limited for viewers - you have to have a certain sense of humour to enjoy it. I do love Family Guy alot!!

I also think the Simpsons are more wholesome compared to the Family Guy, but I really liked the Peanut Butter Jelly Time!
