The gunboat diplomacy of "protecting American interests abroad" has always been double talk for protecting the overseas investments of RICH Americans. Corporations operating in "sensitive" foreign nations have saved a bundle on security costs, since the US Military has provided for them free of charge -- at taxpayer expense. These folks are all for privatization of profits, but when it comes to expenses or risks they are Socialists to the core.

Where do you people get this stuff? Is this what they are teaching you in school these days? Listen, America is not now nor has it ever been interested in world domination. Look at the facts, not theories.
After World War II only we still had all of our manufactuing and infrastructure not only still intact but operating at peak effeciency producing war making products. America dominated the oceans with our Navy. America dominated the Skies with the greatest air force in the world. America had the only working atomic bombs in the world and the technolog to build even stronger bombs. And the largest standing Army already trained, battle hardened and well experienced.
The rest of the major countries were already destroyed. The Soviet Union had over 2/3's of it's manufacturing capability destroyed. They had little or no food and other resourses. China was primitive. Who in the world could have stopped us if we decided to take over the world? What other country on earth has ever been in this situation? None. Only we have had the entire world on a silver platter if we wanted to take it.
What did we do? We gave it all back. We gave our former enemies funding, food and medicine to rebuild their countries and we provided the means for them to elect their own governments. As others have pointed out, we took no land other than what was necessary to bury our dead who gave their lives by the thousands to free the occupied nations of the world.
For you to compare free market Capitalism and business competition to what Hitler, Stalin, Mao or Imperial Japan had in mind is just sad. America has much to be proud of; especially in how we share our prosperity and promote freedom in the world.
Just one more thing. Corporations are simply publically owned businesses. That is where our Pension Plans are invested. That is where our stock market money is invested. WE are the Corporations!

That's really neat how you remembered something about Hitler from your World History 101 class through the Bong rips and games of guitar hero. Here's the deal: Those opposing the war will paint the picture that we are in Iraq for oil - why then, I emplore you, have we not touched a drop of the Iraqi's oil? We are there to fight terrorists in a theater away from the United States, rather than reacting to their atticking us stateside. Under Clinton's 8 years the United States was attacked by terrorist groups over 20 times - under Bush once. If you fall for the media and the celebrity garbage, you are playing into the hands of those keeping us down. We must protect that oil supply from insugents - if another country gets hold of the oil supply (Iraq's only resource and source of income) the country of Iraq will implode - the culture of the people will be lost. We want to give them a chance at living in a free society - every man and woman on Earth wants that. Without the Oil they don't make it one day. Ask your Congressman why the United States has to protect the Oil, they won't give you a straight answer - the truth of the matter is: we already approved drilling in Anwar Alaska - Congress bowed to "Envornmental" groups like the Sierra Club in 1991 and halted the process. We are the only Oil bearing nation in the World that is not harvesting and refining it's own oil. Countless other countries depend on Iraqi oil as well (like France and Germany) - if we don't protect the corporate interest, those guys (who already pay $7.00 per gallon of gas) will be paying over $15.00 a gallon for gas. Get informed before you talk about Hitler.

How intellectually deficient and dishonest.
We don't fight wars for corporate interests, nor did Hitler.
The only thing remotely Nazi-esque is the Goebbelsian magnitude of your lie.
