Is there a debating society that can be joined in London. All the ones I have looked at are based at Universities and are for students only. I am a working woman and would like to join a club that debates many issues in contempory Britain. Where can I find such a club or society?

I've started an London Community Activism group and we hold debates and discussions monthly (except in December where we have a celebration)
Our last three topics were on:
The causes of violent youth crime and gangs (Nov)
Evaluating the merits of the Minimum Wage (Oct)
What makes a good school? (Sept)

Speaker's Corner at Hyde Park. Seriously though there must be something listed in "Time Out". Failing that, ask at one or two libraries or book shops in your area.
