Most superstitions have a basic common sense factor. Example: Walking under a ladder, if someone is on it you could make them fall or drop something. Another one is "three to a match you'll wind up in the boobyhatch, which means you are more likely to get into trouble with a couple of friend than alone. Others have religous undertones(throwing of salt, black cats etc..)

No, I'm a Christian and it's against my religion to believe in superstition. God makes everything happen for a reason, and opening an umbrella indoors, walking under a ladder, or carrying a good luck charm isn't going to alter God's plans.

no I don't believe in them either, and don't know why they exist to some people! My Boss IS! She has 2 strings of garlic hanging up outside of her office door, and that's how serious she is about Superstitions! She even believes that having a pet bird in the work place brings good luck!!!!!!!
That one about walking under a ladder being bad luck is just PLAIN garbage, and the one about a black cat walking in your path!!!!! Balonie!!!!

No I don't, a lot of people do though, like some people believe you shouldn't take a picture with just 3 ppl in it? Its ultimate crap to me. My parents also believe you shouldn't give out money on Tuesday or Friday. I mean, wtf?
Good question =)
