Is it safe to use a coffee whitener while pregnant?? Also if you are drinking de-caffinated tea, is there a limit as well as to how much you can consume in a day??Thanks!

I don't believe there is anything in powdered coffee creamer that would be harmful to your pregnancy. I can tell you from research, however, that a lot of products labeled "decaf" are really not so. They all have much less caffeine than their caffeinated counterparts, but some still have a significant amount. If you can't find nutritional information about caffeine content on decaffeinated products, call the 1-800 number or visit the website for the specific brand you're using (these are almost always listed somewhere on the packaging). 300mg of caffeine per day is acceptable for pregnant women, which is a pretty decent amount. Good luck and congrats!

I'm not sure what a coffee whitener is - do you mean tooth whitener to help remove coffee stains? If so, it would depend on what over-the-counter product you use. They have different whitening agents in them. It would be best to just give your dentist a call and ask which brand he recommends for expectant mothers.

There is no limit to the amount of decaf tea you can drink. The more the better, because it helps fulfill your water requirements.

There are certain herbal teas you should avoid, but again, a call to your doctor can rule these out. But most are fine.

I haven't heard of any danger from coffee creamers or anything like that, but I was cautioned against drinking coffee in the first place.

yes you can use coffee creamer. Decaf often still has a small amount of caffeine but I doubt enough to have any effect.
