Since I have been on YAZ, I've also been on these meds. And I have had pregnacy like symptoms....is there a chance I could be pregnant? *I have a 8 month old little girl, so I know what it feels like...I've been very tired, nause (sp?), bloated like feeling, moody, and just feel like I'm pregnant...could this be true?

YES!!!

Antibiotics can definitely hinder the job that the pill is supposed to be doing! This would be a time to buy some condoms!

Also, when your off the antibiotics, wait a full cycle before you can rely on the pill again.

I hope this helps....(and I hope you feel better too)

Zantac, I don't believe, will interfere with the effectiveness of your birth control. However, antibiotics have a risk of interfering with it. I know quite a lot of people with babies conceived when they were taking birth control pills and taking antibiotics. My doctor always recommended the addition of a condom if I had to be on an antibiotic while taking the Pill. Your doctor and the pharmacist can advise you best on this issue.

Absolutely-they will cancel out your BC. Use back-up method for at least 2 weeks after you're off of Antibiotics.

I believe some antibiotics do have an effect on BC. You should use double protection while using other meds.....

I have heard that they do. Get with your Doctor. Let him know what you are taking and use extra protection until you can be sure.
