the sun is in the center, so imagine you are the earth facing right in front of it. you move left and around it -- this would be clockwise.

when you open the tap -- asuming righty tight and lefty loosey --> giving u water; then you open to the left --- this is also clockwise

It depends on where you're watching from. If you're watching the earth from a vantage point over the north pole, the earth's rotation is anticlockwise. If your vantage point is over the south pole, the rotation is clockwise.

Anticlockwise. (Of course, I guess this could likewise depnd on your vantage point. If you're a plumber under the sink, looking at the tap from behind the pipes, then you'd call the "open" direction clockwise.)

As viewed from space, looking down on the Earth from above the North Pole, it is rotating counterclockwise. With most taps, one turns them counterclockwise to open ("turn on") and clockwise to close ("turn off").
