For all of you who are about to say they don't have a qb I would like to inform you that the Ravens went 13-3 with the same two qb's they have this year. The Ravens also won a Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer. These teams were carried by their defenses.

In today's game you need a offense that can score and Brian Billick's 2 page offensive playbook simply is behind the times.

I'd fire Billick and bring in a coach who knows how to call a running play in short yardage situations. I'd bring in a coach who won't demoralize the defense with incompetent play calling. I'd bring in a coach who was the Ray Lewis of his era when he played. I'd bring in San Francisco's LB coach (for the last 3 years) and Baltimore's LB coach for the 2 years before that, Hall of Fame Chicago Bears MLB Mike Singletary. Then, I'd go out and hire an offensive coordinator from the college ranks.

The Ravens defense under Rex Ryan is the most physically talented defense the NFL has seen since the 85 Bears and the offense has enough talent to win games (Boller is a decent QB and the WR corp is one of the top 10 in the league when healthy; McGahee is one of the top 5 RBs in the league). Billick blew 3 games last year with incompetent coaching decisions (including the playoff game) and he has blown games repeatedly this year.

The last thing the Ravens need is another "genius" of a head coach. They need a coach who understands that defense wins championships and that offense sells tickets, instead of a coach who wants to lose every game 33-30 instead of winning 13-10. Pittsburgh was very successful by going back to their roots with Mike Tomlin and the Ravens need to do something similar. The only thing the offense needs to do is to hold onto the football.

I too think he sucks, but where do you get a better coach to replace him? Most teams seem afraid to try a young unproven coach, so they just switch around the same old re-treads(see Norv Turner). What confuses me about Billick is I always hear him touted as an "offensive genius". When were the Ravens ever noted for offense?
