That is the million dollar question. One would like to know
the answer to that please. I mean we took all of your
stuff away from you after the war, and now you wanna
get back at us. We know the Euros are always in our
shadows, and have been for hundreds of years. Exchange,
exchange, exchange. It is not our fault, that we are
number one. 230 years, not bad for a young laddie, country.
We are still in the baby stages, if you ask me. Talk about
growing up fast. Wow. You English need to think about
that. And keep your ideals to yourselves. Because we
will NEVER be like you. OK. Best answer wins. *

Oh, I love you all, my British friends.
Such poise, and grace. A group of
intelligent, civilized, utilitarian, and
beautful blend of people. That is the
truth.

I have no envy at all. I have everything i need in life and need nothing more. Although i like Americans i do find them amusing because they ask questions like yours. Its the Iraqi es that suffer from envy. I do not. How many Americans can truly say they are happy with their lot? Most of you are decent people, just like the rest of us. But just like the rest of us, we have the ones that let us down.

XD) the purely element i could envy is the very incontrovertible reality that homosexuality and all isn't regarded down at, right here in eire you in reality get hanged and sneered. i love the places and all in united statesa. yet you basically stole that off the community ones so as it truly isn't any longer something particular, the very incontrovertible reality that united statesa. is the centre of media and each little thing is because it truly is huge! And we enable women human beings presidents! because we are not captivated with conflict. we do not opt for dominant rulers to start up conflict, we are impartial (yet another element i love about my u . s .!) George Bush sucks and scents like ***! question for you: WHY THE HELL could you imagine WE ENVY YOU!! XD OH and it truly is color no longer color, human beings can't even spell! Oh and eire not in any respect has hurricaines or something. and that i also love the garments over there, yet i'm nonetheless no longer eco-friendly with envy.

Oh look everyone, an American who can nearly string a sentence together correctly. There's still an awful lot of mistakes but well done for trying.
You infer that you [USA] are 230 years old. In historical terms you correctly point out that as a country you're 'still in the baby stages'. My house is only 30 years younger than the USA.
This is quite a coincidence as this is how the majority of the rest of the world's inhabitants view the citizens of the USA.
I think of Americans as essentially good people but they need to do a bit of growing up because of the way they seem to interact with others. Americans are immature in so many ways, it's like being the biggest, stupidest kid in school who threatens to beat up the other, brighter kids. Everyone gives him a wide berth and because no one challenges him he thinks he's the best. In reality though it just means that nobody wants to be friends with him but he's so stupid he doesn't realise.
Simply put. Most Europeans try to ignore America and get exasperated when their towns and cities are invaded by moronic american tourists gawping at the beauty of the architecture and trying desperately to find a link, however tenuous, with a european country for their ancestry discussions over the picket fence back home in Idiot river ID. Europeans have more culture, are more sophisticated, more intelligent and more 'mature' than many Americans.
To use an analogy, America is like the little boy at a posh wedding. Shirt hanging outside his trousers, sliding across the dancefloor on his knees and generally being an annoying nuisance to all the Adults at the wedding (who are like the Europeans. Refined, classy, quietly confident etc).
Keep on ranting little boy. You'll never be as admired as Europeans.

most English people look down on Americans for their lack of intelligence. You are worse than we ever were. In this day and age we know imperialism is wrong, yet you are trying to build the biggest empire every and even trying to include space in that. If you read your history books you will see that all empires collapse. The American empire started to collapse on 9/11. There's an awful lot of people in this world who want revenge for their children who were raped and killed by your undisciplined and poorly trained army. Look what happened to the Berliners when the Russians arrived. Perhaps you should learn to show a bit of respect to other people before it's too late.
By the way you did lose the Vietnam war.

I just got your email and thought what a nice guy you are and now you completely ruin the image by asking why do the brits envy the Americans. Oh come on America isnt looking too good to the rest of the world right now. Cross burnings on peoples lawns, nooses out of trees, wars without gains, millions of lives lost, crimes at a all time high. Give me a break. We all have our issues dont you think that question is provoking?

Most of the Americans I have met have tended to envy us, the British. We have things you never will, according to them.
Up to the time of the present UK government, we had always learned from our mistakes. (OK, for the last 10 years, we have not !!) America is apparently too young to learn.
You are not, imho, a typical Yank, most of whom I have found to be friendly, as well as curious and willing to learn. It's a pity your present government is not of the same mind !

We envy your perfectly formed, polished teeth.
Which I am led to believe is to deflect attention away from the looks of an overweight inbred.
Trust me my friend, when we talk of brotherly love across the pond it has very different connotations!
We are not advising you to partake in unnatural family activities, as it really does nothing for your looks and reputation!

They do ?
Most just laugh at them; some from a misplaced feeling of innate superiority but most because its just amusing to poke fun at anyone in power.
I say good luck to the USA but the sooner England starts aligning itself more closely with Europe the better.

I don't know any British person that envy's America, I think its an ok country, but am glad I don't live in a place where half of the residents are illiterate yokel's who cant locate their own country on a map and haven't even traveled abroad to broaden there horizons.
Questions like this certainly do nothing to improve your most hated country in the world status.
