Being from Houston and a HUGE rockets fan, Yao is by far the best center in the league to date. He can rack up huge numbers, hes good in the low post as long as he doesnt put the ball down, he can shoot from the high post, excellent free throw shooter, and now starting to dominate in the paint. Recently i saw Yao working with the 18-20 foot jump shot. That could be deadly witht the new offense that Rick Adelman has with the rockets. He also doesnt have to worry about 3 second violations if hes dominating in the post or shooting from outside. He has also taken care of his fouling getting some bad calls here and there. Yao Ming = Best Center. Good competition for dwight howard.

yao ming is the best and ranks tops among centers in most categories. Shaq is second and will be until he retires. Not much after that I mean Brendon haywood is playing very good right now but he probably won't continue at this pace and Greg Olden will be good next year.

Dwight Howard. He is by far the best center in the league. Nobody is strong enough to hold him under 20 and 15.

I am going to have to disagree with everyone and say Marcus Camby when he is healthy he gets like 25 boards and 6 blocks all the time also I like Rasheed Wallace but, skill wise it would be Camby Stoudamire and then Howard in my opinion
