because some issues must be taken seriously indeed.
but about other trivial issues that some people take it seriously..............................
well,may be they are complicated,and want to make anything else also complicated.

Ok, that's a good question :-)
And i will tell you a story:-)))
I am from Turkey and we don't like rules that much. We are cool people.
Since 2002 i work at a company in France. and for French people everything is taken seriously. Like for ex. if you don't classify the files as they want they will be like "it is not done like this" although your system is better than theirs.
Or in Turkey we like eating yoghurt without any sweetener and i eat like that. Even how i eat the yoghurt can be a serious issue for them and they can talk about it the whole lunch hour. :-))))))
I am always like "they are really taking nonsense things very seriously" and i laugh a lot:-))))

At work, people try to make things look serious because most of the bosses don't know what is going on, so the boss thinks that employee is dedicated and focused. Sad to say, they are usually the laziest employees.

Some things are serious--global warming, the US bogus war on terror, discrimination, the threat of US becoming a theocracy (moreso than it is); what's not serious is the problems of American teens (He said, I said, They broke up, I kissed her, I think he's gay...)--Jesus Christ, shut up and do your flippin' homework!
